The resident 17 year old had his mother, the dog and me watch it on a couple weeks back. Total mindlessness with a a couple of honestly chuckle worthy lines. The whole cinematic farce is a poorly scripted and staged rip off of The Right Stuff. Teenager loved it because Jerry Seinfeld was at the centre. Parents could not wait for it to end. Dog slept through it.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Looking for Europe Travel Suggestions...: @Klaus said in Looking for Europe Travel Suggestions...: Spending 3 days at Disney in Paris as an American is the most bizarrely American way of making a vacation I can think of. That’s what I was thinking but tried to convey it in a less obvious manner.

@Doctor-Phibes said in A perfect example of bad decision making ending up in student loans: @Mik said in A perfect example of bad decision making ending up in student loans: where he is on the spectrum could tell you a lot about his prospects. The real question isn't why he did what he did, but why did the "Senior Reporter" from Business Insider choose him as a typical case study. … and why @Mik chooses this particular story to post and discuss here.

The only real threat of elimination comes if a competent alternative is put into place. Otherwise it’s just like fighting rats in a sewer, they will just keep on coming back.

Sorry, this is the one I ran across. The budget thing about endowments floored me. Even schools with huge endowments stand at risk of cutting programs due to the way their budgets are structured
